Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?

Generally, between 32-36 weeks is best but every momma is different. Once that baby bump appears, contact me to schedule your session between 32-36 weeks, which we can adjust the date on depending on how your baby grows.

When do I schedule my newborn photo session?

Contact me with your due date and we'll pencil it in on my calendar. Once your little miracle has arrived, let me know as soon as possible to confirm an appointment. To capture this fleeting moment in your baby's life, it is best to photograph between 5-10 days of birth. This is the only time we will be able to mold them into those adorable newborn poses.

The MOST important thing, however, is to book your session as soon as you can WHILE you're pregnant. The best time is early in your third trimester (around 28 weeks).

How long are newborn sessions?

Newborn photography sessions usually take 2-4 hours, depending on your baby's needs. I work at baby's pace, allowing time for what he/she may need.

Where will the session be held?

Anywhere! I only do on-location sessions. We can hold the session in your backyard, your home, a park, a downtown setting or anywhere else you have in mind. I have several go-to locations in the surrounding areas of Austin that I love and I'm always open to new ideas as well. Note: Clients are responsible for all fee location rates.

I do not currently have a studio, so all sessions are done on location. Note: newborn sessions are always held within your home.

•Urban locations bring a lot of color and texture to your images. This is great for seniors, couples and families with older children.

•Natural locations are perfect for a simple backdrop. A beautiful blue sky and grassy field is a wonderful location to let your little ones run wild.

When you book your session, we will discuss the feel you want your images to have and pick the perfect location.

What is your cancelation and refund policy?

All monies paid for sessions are non-refundable. Since I turn down work for your reserved date, I do not refund any amount paid up to the date you cancel your session. I completely understand that life happens and will always make an effort to reschedule with you or give you credit towards another session in the future.
